A UVA Garden Wedding - April 20th, 2013

The University of Virginia is a wonderful backdrop for photography and a wedding photographer's "Dream Come True" as far as backdrops.  As a historic site, the architecture is simply amazing to shoot.  There are many Halls, Chapels, and locations that are wonderful  places to perform a ceremony or host a reception, but perhaps the finest and most intimate of all settings may very well be the Gardens in and around the famous Rotunda and lawn.  The Bride for this wedding is currently a Grad-Student at UVA and so this location was especially significant to her.  The weather was exceptional for this day and we had a great time strolling the grounds and shooting portraits in and around locations we had scouted during our walk through together.  These are some of my favorite shots from the day and am looking forward to photograph this location again in the future.

Return to Golden Horseshoe Inn April 17th, 2013

I photographed my second Elopement of the week at the Golden Horseshoe Inn, in Stanardsville, Virginia this week.  I had photographed the Bride's daughter's wedding about two years ago and the family had such a lovely experience that this couple returned to have their own private ceremony.  It was very rewarding to share in another moment in this family's life.  The weather continued to be nice and we got many nice shots outside.  It was amazing how much the foliage had changed in just 5 days. The Bride, wearing blue, really stood out in the photos.  I think it is my new favorite spring color.  These are some of my favorite photos from the day.

Spring Elopement - April 13th, 2013

Spring is a popular time of year for Elopements and Weddings.  It is truly a symbol for new life and growth.  The weather can very sporadic during April with a constant fluctuation between warm and cold, and Sunny and Rainy.  I had the opportunity to Photograph an Elopement on April 13th at the Golden Horseshoe Inn in Stanardsville, Virginia and we had the good fortune of Sunny and Warm weather.  There were many flowering trees in bloom including the Forsythia.  We made the most of the beautiful outdoors and the Bride and Groom had a very enjoyable experience as we captured the moments of their special day.  These are some of my favorite shots from the day.
